Check the sticker that is located on the sides or back of the cart. The sticker will be either white or black & contains information such as cart model, date & key number. The key number is located right next to the date.
Key replacement
Step #1
Find the key number. The different ways are to:
If the school has a spare key, the key number will be engraved on the handle of the key.
The lock itself should also have a letter engraved on the lock.
Step #2
Confirm that the information you found is correct.
- UniVault carts have different key numbers for the front & back door. Keys are not sold in sets, only individually (customers should not expect to receive both front & back door keys for their UV carts unless they order both key #s)
- If the key number cannot be identified using the methods outlined above, a replacement lock must be purchased. Schools may order replacement locks and services through ShopDOE using FAMIS ID numbers.

Purchase your key(s).
- Key pricing is $20 each and $15 flat rate shipping, regardless of key quantity.
- Have your School DBN, school email address, and school physical address ready.
